What does grounds care involve in Richmond and West Contra Costa?

Grounds care in Richmond and West Contra Costa means working with bay-front conditions. Sites near the shoreline see steady wind and salt exposure, which dries turf edges and stresses plantings that are not suited to it. Programs here lean on soil building, mulch to hold moisture, and plant choices that tolerate exposure. Reed's serves Richmond, El Cerrito, San Pablo, Pinole and Hercules from an East Bay base, so the person who walks your site is the one who maintains it. [[DRAFT — Chris to add local specifics]]

What does grounds care involve in Oakland and the inner East Bay?

Grounds care in Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville is shaped by dense urban parks and heavy foot traffic. Clay soils compact quickly under daily use, which thins turf and opens space for weeds, so aeration and organic matter are a regular part of the program. Many sites also follow city IPM practices, which Reed's reviews before work begins so materials, notification and records match the policy. [[DRAFT — Chris to add local specifics]]

What does grounds care involve in Martinez and central Contra Costa?

Grounds care in Martinez, Concord, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek deals with hotter, drier summers than the bay shore. Irrigation timing and mulch matter more, and turf needs fall care to recover from summer stress. Many sites border open space, so fire-season fuel considerations, such as keeping dry growth cut back along edges, are part of the seasonal plan. [[DRAFT — Chris to add local specifics]]

What does grounds care involve in Marin County?

Grounds care in Marin County works within one of the Bay Area's strictest IPM frameworks. Marin County Parks' IPM ordinance eliminates high-toxicity (Category I and II) pesticides on county land and keeps an annual allowed-products list (Marin County Parks). Reed's organic-first approach is a natural fit. Reed's is now accepting Marin projects in San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley and nearby communities. [[DRAFT — Chris to add local specifics]]
